Tony Orlando and "Dawn" (Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent Wilson) sing the classic, "Tie a Yellow Ribbon 'Round the Ole Oak Tree."
I've been meaning to write about this yellow ribbon adorned tree for awhile now. I wonder if it was done on a whim or for any of the myriad of reasons listed on Wikipedia. Is it in support of a soldier in Iraq? Or as in the Tony Orlando song, is it to welcome an ex-convict home as in Tony Orlando's song?
