Justice At Long Last

This just in regarding a post I did in February 08:

Dear Bed-Stuy Banana,

Thank you for posting your thorough and thoughtful article on my dad, Sam Quentzel.

Your article was posted about 18 months ago, and a lot has happened during that time. We convinced the Nassau County DA to keep persuing my dad's killers, and they did. This past June, almost 23 years after his violent and untimely death, my dad's killers were found. We are so grateful to the wonderful team at the Nassau DA's office and to the ace detective who worked with them to figure this all out.

Unfortunately, none of this will bring my dad back, but at least justice can be served. The two men who ruined our lives will soon be on trial for murder.

Encouraging, that they kept looking for Sam Quentzel's killers after all this time. And that their persistence paid off. But as his daughter says, 'none of this will bring my dad back.' Which is just another reminder to spend time with and enjoy your loved ones here and now. Is anything more important than that?
